Running Consolry
Updating
Install a new version from inside the panel.
From version 0.3.0, Consolry updates itself. You do not need to download the program again.
How to update
When a newer version is out, the admin sees a notice at the top of the panel. Press Update now, then Update and restart.
Consolry then:
- Downloads the new version and checks it against its published fingerprint.
- Saves and stops your running servers.
- Swaps the program and starts again.
- Starts the servers that were running.
This takes about a minute, and players are disconnected while it happens. The page reloads by itself when Consolry is back. Your servers, worlds, backups and accounts are not touched.
Good to know
- Consolry looks for a new version about once an hour. It never updates without you pressing the button.
- Updating from 0.1.0 or 0.2.0 has to be done by hand one last time: download the newest version from the download page and replace the old file, or run the install command again on Linux.
- If the new version does not come back, start Consolry again yourself. The previous program is kept next to the new one as a file ending in
.olduntil the new one has started.
