Start here
Install on Linux
One command installs it. A second sets it up to run in the background.
Install
Run this in a terminal:
curl -fsSL https://www.consolry.com/install.sh | sh
It downloads the newest pre-release for your processor, checks it against its published fingerprint, and installs a single program called consolry. It does not need root: without root it installs to ~/.local/bin.
Start it
consolry
Then open http://127.0.0.1:8700 in a browser on that machine and create your admin account.
Run it in the background
To keep Consolry running after you close the terminal, and start it when you sign in:
consolry -autostart on
This sets up a systemd service for your user. To keep it running while you are signed out, which you want on a server, also run once:
sudo loginctl enable-linger $USER
Turn it off again with consolry -autostart off. Read its log with journalctl --user -u consolry -f.
No screen on that machine?
The panel only answers on the machine it runs on. From your own computer, open a tunnel:
ssh -L 8700:127.0.0.1:8700 you@your-server
Leave that running and open http://127.0.0.1:8700 on your own computer.
Do not put the panel directly on the internet in this pre-release. It has no HTTPS of its own yet.
