Passwords and two-factor login
Change your password, and protect your account with a code from your phone.
Click your name at the top right of the panel to open Your account.
Change your password
Type your current password and a new one of at least 10 characters. Every other device signed in to your account is signed out.
Two-factor login
With two-factor login on, signing in needs your password and a six-digit code from an app on your phone. Someone who learns your password still cannot get in. Turn it on if your panel can be reached from the internet.
- Install an authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or 2FAS.
- On Your account, press Set it up and scan the QR code with the app.
- Type the code the app shows and press Switch on.
- Save the eight backup codes somewhere safe. Each one signs you in once if you lose your phone.
Locked out?
- Lost your phone: sign in with your password and one of your backup codes.
- Someone else is locked out: the admin opens Accounts, presses Locked out? next to their name, and sets a new password, switches off their two-factor login, or both. They are signed out everywhere.
- The admin is locked out: reset the password on the computer itself; see Troubleshooting.
