Running Consolry
Your data
Where Consolry keeps everything, and how to back it up, move it and remove it.
Where it is
- Windows:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Consolry - Linux:
~/.local/share/consolry
Inside:
| Item | What it holds |
|---|---|
consolry.db |
Your account, server list, schedules and activity log |
daemon-data/servers |
Each server's files, including its world |
daemon-data/backups |
Backups |
daemon-data/java |
Any Java that Consolry downloaded |
consolry.log |
Consolry's own log |
To use a different folder, start Consolry with -dir "D:\Consolry".
Do not keep this folder inside OneDrive, Dropbox or similar. They upload world files while the server is using them, which slows the server and can damage the world.
Backing it all up
Quit Consolry, then copy the whole folder.
Moving to another computer
Quit Consolry, copy the folder to the same place on the new computer, and start Consolry there.
Updating
Quit Consolry, replace the program file with the newer one, and start it again. Your data is not touched. On Linux, run the install command again.
Removing it
Quit Consolry and untick Start when I sign in, or run consolry -autostart off on Linux. Then delete the program file and the data folder. Deleting the data folder deletes your worlds and backups.
